Chris McDonough, Esq., has practiced exclusively in the area of professional ethics and grievance matters for 33 years.

He was an Assistant Counsel to the Grievance Committee for the Tenth Judicial District for 13 years. Since 2003 he has practiced exclusively in the field of grievance defense and professional ethics. Over his career he has prosecuted or defended hundreds of disciplinary matters before the Appellate Divisions, and over a thousand non-public grievance matters.

Chris has handled matters before all 4 Appellate Divisions and the Court of Appeals. He has been recognized as an expert in both civil and criminal venues and is a frequent lecturer and author on matters of professional responsibility.

Together with the lawyers at Foley Griffin, LLP the firm represents clients before the Court of Appeals, the four Appellate Divisions in New York State, grievance committees, character and fitness committees, the Board of Law Examiners, mediation, and fee arbitration.
